Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room (ER)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER), you will be responsible for providing urgent and critical care to patients in need of immediate medical attention. You will assess patients, administer treatment, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and triage patients upon arrival in the ER
2. Administer medication and treatment as prescribed by physicians
3. Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment
4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
5. Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
6. Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Prior experience in an emergency room setting preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Proficiency in electronic health records systems
