Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room (ER)
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the fast-paced and high-stress environment of the emergency department. The RN will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to provide urgent medical treatment to patients in critical conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Triaging patients based on severity of condition
- Administering medication and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Monitoring and assessing patients' vital signs
- Collaborating with other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educating patients and their families on post-treatment care and follow-up plans
- Documenting patient care in electronic medical records
- Responding to medical emergencies and providing life-saving interventions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
