Job Title: Sleep Technologist Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic sleep studies to evaluate sleep disorders in patients. You will work closely with healthcare providers to analyze sleep patterns, recommend treatment plans, and provide education to patients regarding sleep hygiene.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform overnight polysomnograms to monitor sleep patterns and diagnose sleep disorders
- Score sleep study results and prepare reports for interpretation by physicians
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and test results
- Educate patients on sleep hygiene practices and treatment options for sleep disorders
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Operate and maintain sleep study equipment in accordance with industry standards and protocols
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification required
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare-related field preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in performing and scoring sleep studies
- Strong understanding of sleep disorders and treatment options
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality
