Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery (L&D) plays a crucial role in providing care to mothers and babies during childbirth. They must have specialized knowledge in obstetrics and be able to handle high-stress situations with professionalism and compassion.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor the health of mothers and babies during labor and delivery
- Assist with the birthing process and provide support to mothers
- Administer medication and other treatments as directed by physicians
- Educate new mothers on postpartum care and newborn care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
- Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Certification in obstetrics or maternity nursing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
