Job Summary:
As an Administrative Patient Access Representative, Financial Advocate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients by assisting them with the financial aspects of their healthcare. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex insurance and financial processes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Greet and check-in patients in a professional and courteous manner
2. Verify patient insurance information and eligibility
3. Assist patients with understanding their insurance coverage and financial responsibilities
4. Educate patients on available financial assistance programs and payment options
5. Collect and process patient payments
6. Coordinate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues
7. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy
8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless patient experience
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
2. At least 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or customer service setting
3. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
4. Strong computer skills, including experience with electronic health records systems
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
