Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg/Telemetry
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Med Surg/Telemetry provides nursing care to patients in a medical surgical unit or telemetry unit. The RN will assess patient conditions, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with physicians to provide the best possible care for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess patient health status and develop and implement nursing care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and adjust care plans as necessary
- Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on proper care techniques and health management
- Document patient care and progress in medical records
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical surgical or telemetry unit
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient care
