Job Summary:
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be responsible for providing basic nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Your primary role will be to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients in various healthcare settings.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administering medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitoring vital signs and reporting any significant changes to the medical team
- Assisting with patient assessments and developing care plans
- Providing wound care and dressing changes
- Assisting with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing and toileting
- Educating patients and their families on proper health practices
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program
- Current LVN/LPN license in the state of practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
- CPR certification
