Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia. You will monitor vital signs, assess pain levels, and ensure a smooth transition from surgery to recovery. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a key role in supporting patient comfort and safety throughout the post-operative process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor patients post-operatively and assess their condition
- Manage pain levels and administer medications as needed
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a seamless transition from the operating room to the PACU
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families
- Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare team members
- Adhere to infection control policies and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license and BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in a PACU setting
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
