Job Description

Job Title: Management Health Information Manager

Job Summary:

The Management Health Information Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization and maintenance of health information within a healthcare facility. This role involves ensuring the accuracy, security, and accessibility of patient records, as well as implementing and overseeing systems for managing health information.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Develop and implement policies and procedures for maintaining health information

- Manage electronic health records systems and ensure compliance with regulations

- Oversee coding and billing processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations

- Train staff on proper documentation practices and ensure adherence to privacy laws

- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrators to improve efficiency and quality of health information management

- Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements

- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other privacy laws

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field

- Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) credential preferred

- Minimum of 3 years experience in health information management

- Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks

- Familiarity with electronic health records systems
