**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit (ICU)**
**Job Summary:**
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and high-stress environment. The role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care.
**Responsibilities and Duties:**
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients in the ICU
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform complex procedures such as ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and titration of vasoactive medications
- Advocate for patients and families to ensure their needs are met and their rights are respected
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families during times of crisis
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
**Qualifications and Skills:**
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
