Registered Nurse (RN) – Pre/Post-Operative Care

📝 Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team in the Pre-Op and Post-Op departments. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing patients for surgical procedures and delivering safe, effective post-operative care.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Operative Duties:

Conduct thorough pre-op assessments including vitals, medication history, and surgical consents.
Prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgery.
Start IVs and administer pre-surgical medications.
Coordinate with surgical, anesthesia, and lab teams.

Post-Operative Duties:

Monitor patient recovery in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
Assess vital signs, manage pain and complications, and ensure patient stability.
Provide discharge education and care instructions to patients and families.
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems.

🎓 Qualifications:

Valid and unrestricted RN license.
BLS and ACLS certification (PALS preferred for pediatric care).
Minimum 1 year of acute care, PACU, or OR experience preferred.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient education skills.

💼 Schedule & Setting:

Full-time/Part-time/PRN shifts available
Surgical unit / PACU / Ambulatory Care / Hospital setting
