😴 Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) – Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a certified and detail-oriented Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to join our sleep center team. The ideal candidate will conduct overnight sleep studies, monitor sleep patterns and physiology, and provide accurate data to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Compassion, precision, and professionalism are key to this patient-facing role.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and calibrate polysomnographic recording equipment
Apply electrodes and monitors to patients following AASM and facility standards
Monitor patient sleep cycles, including EEG, ECG, EMG, EOG, respiratory effort, and oxygen saturation
Document patient behavior, physiological responses, and equipment adjustments
Score and interpret raw data; prepare detailed reports for physician review
Identify and respond to sleep-related events and intervene as needed
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout the study
Clean and maintain sleep lab equipment after each session
Collaborate with physicians, sleep specialists, and other healthcare providers

Qualifications:

RPSGT credential required (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist)
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Allied Health preferred
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of experience in sleep studies preferred
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and patient care skills
Ability to work overnight shifts and remain alert during long monitoring periods

Schedule:

Full-Time or Part-Time | Primarily Night Shifts | Weekend/Holiday rotation may apply
