Certified Athletic Trainer – Sports Medicine
The Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) in Sports Medicine provides injury prevention, clinical evaluation, emergency care, rehabilitation, and education to athletes and patients. This role collaborates with physicians, physical therapists, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal recovery and performance outcomes.
Provide athletic training services including injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Develop and implement injury prevention programs tailored to athletes.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and treatment records.
Assist in designing conditioning and strengthening programs.
Collaborate with sports medicine physicians and multidisciplinary teams for patient care.
Educate athletes, coaches, and families on injury management and health promotion.
Provide on-field emergency care during practices and competitions.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or related field.
Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
State licensure (if required).
Current CPR/AED certification.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and rehabilitation protocols.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or related discipline.
Experience in collegiate, professional, or clinical sports medicine settings.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and data reporting.
