Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – OR

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our Operating Room (OR) team. The CST will be responsible for preparing surgical instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting surgeons and nurses to ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Ensure strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control protocols.
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and supplies.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and maintain efficiency throughout the procedure.
Handle specimens properly and ensure accurate labeling.
Perform instrument counts with the circulating nurse to ensure patient safety.
Clean, disinfect, and restock the OR after each procedure.
Maintain knowledge of various surgical procedures, equipment, and emerging technologies.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
Previous operating room experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and OR protocols.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress environments.
