We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) team. The RN will be responsible for assessing and preparing patients for surgical and procedural admissions, ensuring all necessary testing, documentation, and patient education are completed prior to admission. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and committed to providing safe and high-quality patient care.
Conduct comprehensive pre-admission assessments for surgical and procedural patients.
Review patient medical histories, medications, allergies, and diagnostic test results.
Coordinate required laboratory work, EKGs, imaging, and other pre-op testing.
Provide patient education about pre- and post-operative instructions, medications, and care plans.
Identify potential risks and communicate findings to physicians and surgical teams.
Ensure all required documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with hospital policy.
Collaborate with anesthesia, surgery, and admissions departments for smooth patient flow.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and care.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
BSN preferred, ADN accepted with relevant experience.
Minimum 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience (preferably in perioperative, surgical, or critical care).
Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of pre-operative procedures and hospital protocols.
Hospital or surgical center setting.
Primarily day shifts, Monday–Friday.
Collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
