Job Title: Medical Director - Geriatric Medicine
Job Summary:
As a Medical Director specializing in Geriatric Medicine, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the medical care provided to elderly patients. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of elderly patients. Additionally, you will provide leadership and guidance to medical staff to ensure the highest quality care is delivered to geriatric patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Lead a team of healthcare professionals in providing comprehensive medical care to elderly patients.
2. Develop and implement treatment plans for geriatric patients, taking into account their specific health challenges and requirements.
3. Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the best course of treatment for each patient.
4. Provide education and guidance to medical staff on best practices for geriatric medicine.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and social workers, to coordinate care and support services for geriatric patients.
6. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in geriatric medicine to ensure the highest level of care for patients.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
2. Board certification in Geriatric Medicine.
3. Current medical license in the state of practice.
4. At least 5 years of experience working in geriatric medicine.
5. Strong leadership and communication skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
