Job Title: Family Medicine Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Job Summary:
As a Family Medicine CMA, you will assist healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care to patients of all ages. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure patients receive comprehensive and personalized treatment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist with patient intake, including vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
2. Perform routine procedures such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care
3. Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
4. Coordinate patient referrals and prescription refills
5. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records
6. Educate patients on preventive care and chronic disease management
7. Ensure clinic rooms are stocked and organized
8. Adhere to all medical protocols and standards of care
9. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required
2. High school diploma or equivalent
3. Previous experience in a family medicine or primary care setting preferred
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
6. Proficiency with electronic health record systems
7. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
8. CPR certification required
9. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
