Job Title: Leadership Privacy Officer
Job Summary:
The Leadership Privacy Officer will oversee all aspects of privacy compliance within the organization, ensuring that sensitive information is properly safeguarded and policies are followed. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement privacy strategies that align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive privacy program that includes policies, procedures, and training programs.
2. Monitor and assess privacy risks and ensure that appropriate controls are in place.
3. Act as the primary point of contact for privacy inquiries and complaints.
4. Conduct privacy impact assessments for new projects or initiatives.
5. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment with laws and regulations.
6. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in privacy management.
7. Lead cross-functional teams on privacy-related projects and initiatives.
8. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on privacy compliance efforts.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field such as law, business, or information technology.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in privacy compliance or a related field.
3. Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA.
5. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
6. Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
8. Experience developing and implementing privacy programs.
