Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our Family Medicine practice. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate patient care, assist healthcare providers with examinations and treatments, and ensure proper documentation of patient information.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform various tests and procedures, such as lab work and EKGs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Educate patients on preventive care and chronic disease management
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments for patients
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality care to patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
- Previous experience working in a family medicine or primary care setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
