Job title: Physician Radiologist
Job Summary:
Physician Radiologists are medical doctors who specialize in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries through the use of medical imaging techniques such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and PET scans. They work closely with other healthcare professionals to accurately interpret the images and provide a comprehensive diagnosis to help guide patient treatment plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures to diagnose various medical conditions.
2. Consult with referring physicians to discuss imaging findings and provide recommendations for patient care.
3. Utilize advanced imaging technologies to accurately assess and monitor patient progress.
4. Review and analyze patient medical histories to ensure proper imaging protocols are followed.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
6. Stay current on advancements in radiology technology and techniques through continuing education and training.
7. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
8. Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
2. Board certification in Radiology or Diagnostic Radiology.
3. Current state medical license and DEA registration.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
6. Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
