Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Dialysis
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in dialysis care, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with kidney disease who require dialysis treatment. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to monitor patients' health, administer dialysis therapy, and educate patients and their families on managing their kidney disease.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing patients' health status and dialysis treatment needs
- Administering dialysis therapy according to physician orders
- Monitoring patients during dialysis treatments and providing necessary interventions
- Educating patients and their families on kidney disease management, diet, and medication adherence
- Collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans
- Documenting patient care activities and treatment outcomes
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BSN or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Certification in Nephrology Nursing (CNN) preferred
- Prior experience in dialysis nursing highly preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
