Job Title: Nurse Practitioner Neonatology
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner in Neonatology to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to newborns, infants, and premature babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Provide direct patient care to newborns in the NICU.
2. Conduct physical assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans.
3. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
4. Educate and support families on proper infant care and development.
5. Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
6. Participate in rounds, conferences, and case management meetings.
7. Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately.
8. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
2. Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
3. Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in neonatal nursing.
5. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of neonatal care protocols.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
8. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
