Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg team. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing various medical procedures, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in the Med Surg unit
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitoring and managing patient symptoms and conditions
- Communicating with patients and their families to provide education and support
- Collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans
- Ensuring patient safety and compliance with medical protocols and standards
- Documenting patient information and maintaining accurate medical records
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of employment
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Med Surg setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
- BLS and ACLS certification
