Physician – OB Hospitalist (Obstetrics Hospitalist)

📝 Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate OB Hospitalist to join our women’s health team and provide inpatient obstetric care. The ideal candidate will be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with experience in managing labor and delivery, obstetric emergencies, and inpatient consultations. This role is integral to ensuring 24/7 patient safety, delivering babies, and responding to obstetric urgencies in a high-volume hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide inpatient labor & delivery care, including emergency response, deliveries, and surgical OB procedures (C-sections, etc.)
Manage triage, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
Collaborate with nurses, midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatologists
Ensure patient safety, compliance with hospital protocols, and quality care standards
Supervise residents (if academic setting) and participate in OB code drills
Support high-risk pregnancy cases and obstetric complications

Qualifications:

MD or DO from an accredited institution
Board Certified / Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Active state medical license (or eligibility)
NRP, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
Prior experience in OB hospitalist or L&D preferred

Schedule & Benefits:

Full-time and part-time positions available
12- or 24-hour shifts (depending on location)
