Physician – Pediatric Intensivist / Hospitalist

📝 Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Physician with experience in both Intensivist and Hospitalist roles to join our dedicated pediatric care team. This position involves comprehensive care for acutely ill and hospitalized pediatric patients, including those in the PICU as well as general pediatric units. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical excellence, leadership, and a passion for delivering evidence-based, family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 24/7 coverage for Pediatric ICU and general pediatric inpatients

• Perform medical management of critically ill children, including ventilator support and central line placement

• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, emergency teams, and nursing staff

• Lead pediatric codes, rapid responses, and participate in trauma team if required

• Support safe transitions of care, discharge planning, and parent/family communication

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical education (if academic affiliation)

Qualifications:

• MD/DO with valid medical license or eligibility in practicing state

• Completion of ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency

• Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine (for Intensivist role)

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care

• Current PALS and NRP certification required

• Strong clinical acumen in inpatient pediatrics and critical care
