📝 Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neonatologist to join our team of pediatric healthcare professionals. The Neonatologist will be responsible for providing specialized care to critically ill and premature newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role demands excellence in clinical care, family-centered communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical care to newborns with acute or chronic conditions in the NICU

• Diagnose and treat premature infants, birth defects, infections, breathing disorders, and other neonatal complications

• Perform and interpret specialized procedures such as intubation, exchange transfusions, and central line placements

• Work closely with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other specialists in high-risk deliveries and neonatal transport

• Educate and counsel families on infant care, prognosis, and treatment plans

• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care, interventions, and outcomes

• Participate in quality improvement, clinical research, and teaching programs

• Stay current with medical advancements in neonatology and neonatal critical care

🎓 Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Neonatology

• Valid state medical license (or ability to obtain)

• Completion of pediatric residency and neonatology fellowship

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills

• Experience in high-acuity NICU settings preferred

🏥 Work Environment:

• Level III or Level IV NICU

• May involve night shifts, on-call rotations, and emergency response

• Team-based, interdisciplinary approach with neonatal nurses, RTs, and specialists
