Supervisor – Sterile Processing Department (SPD)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Sterile Processing Department (SPD). The ideal candidate will ensure all instruments and equipment are decontaminated, sterilized, and distributed according to hospital protocols and infection control standards.
Supervise day-to-day operations of the SPD team
Monitor sterilization processes, equipment, and workflow efficiency
Ensure compliance with AAMI, AORN, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards
Oversee training and competency assessments of SPD staff
Maintain accurate inventory, documentation, and tracking systems
Collaborate with OR, endoscopy, and nursing departments for timely instrument delivery
Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide leadership, mentorship, and scheduling support to the SPD team
High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's/Bachelor's preferred)
Certification in Sterile Processing (CRCST or CBSPD required)
3+ years of sterile processing experience, 1+ year in a supervisory or lead role
Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, equipment, and industry regulations
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proficient with instrument tracking systems and Microsoft Office
