Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Neonatology

📝 Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Neonatology to join our neonatal care team. The NP will provide advanced clinical care to neonates and infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and related settings, working closely with neonatologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for neonates.
Manage acute and chronic conditions in critically ill newborns.
Collaborate with neonatologists and interdisciplinary teams in patient care.
Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as appropriate.
Provide family-centered care, counseling, and education to parents and caregivers.
Assist with neonatal resuscitation and emergency procedures.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of care provided.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training.

🔹 Qualifications:

Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification.
Active RN and NP license.
NNP-BC certification preferred.
Prior NICU or neonatology experience required.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills.

🔹 Work Environment:

Level III or Level IV NICU setting.
Full-time, part-time, or per diem shifts.
Collaborative and patient-focused team culture.
