Physician Assistant (PA) – Neonatology
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Neonatology to join our neonatal care team. The PA will provide advanced clinical care to critically ill and premature newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and related settings. This role involves collaborating with neonatologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care and improve outcomes for neonates and their families.
Conduct physical examinations, assessments, and diagnoses for neonates.
Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans.
Assist neonatologists in neonatal resuscitation, intubation, and emergency procedures.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications.
Monitor and manage acute and chronic conditions in critically ill newborns.
Educate and counsel families on neonatal care, discharge plans, and follow-up needs.
Participate in quality improvement projects, research, and staff development initiatives.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation.
Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) or equivalent.
Current and valid PA-C (Physician Assistant-Certified) license.
Neonatology or NICU experience strongly preferred.
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills.
Level III or Level IV NICU setting.
Collaborative, family-centered, and multidisciplinary care team.
