Registered Nurse (RN) – Director of Surgical Services
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Director of Surgical Services. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all surgical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and managing nursing staff within the surgical department. The ideal candidate will combine clinical expertise with strong administrative, leadership, and operational management skills to optimize surgical services and patient outcomes.
Lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff and surgical teams within the operating room and surgical departments.
Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and standards of care for surgical services.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff to ensure patient safety and quality care.
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance management of surgical personnel.
Monitor surgical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and quality metrics; implement improvements as needed.
Manage departmental budgets, resources, and procurement for surgical operations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
Lead initiatives for staff education, professional development, and continuous process improvement.
Current and valid RN license (state-specific).
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive surgical nursing experience with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, perioperative nursing, and operating room management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage budgets, staffing, and quality metrics.
Proven track record in implementing process improvements and ensuring regulatory compliance.
